Winter Escape

Winter is in full effect here so the motorcycles are in hibernation and spirits are low in the garage. To make matters worse the garage heater broke so there has been very little activity out there which makes dealing with the winter blues even more difficult. I’m saving my pennies to buy a sweet natural gas heater that I can plumb into the houses gas line and never have to worry about running out of propane again. Until then I’m avoiding the garage…..its cold out there.

Since its the holiday season Jason is in town visiting and we needed something to go do today. He knew about this place called Legends Vintage Motorcycles…..I had never heard of it but agreed that we should go check it out. I’m sure glad we did! This place was amazing! Its just a motorcycle museum but its very well done. There is also a shop and restaurant. Its a privately owned collection that the owner wanted to make available for people to see so he built this beautiful building and lets people wander around for free! I was kind of out of my element since I’m not much of a Harley fan so I cant really offer any details about any of the bikes. We did manage to distract the parts and service manager for a while and he gave us an unofficial tour and shared some amazing stories about a few of the bikes. Hearing other peoples stories is my favorite part of traveling.

That’s pretty much it as far as details about the place and the bikes so I’ll just put up all the pictures below.

There are only three of these bikes known to exist and this is the only all original one left….just like the day it left the factory. The owner bought it at auction……he outbid HARLEY DAVIDSON! They wanted it for their museum…..he wanted it more I guess.
